Engineer Abdel-Majeed Al-Sadiq, Chairman and Managing Director of Sixth of October Agricultural Projects Company, revealed that new investments are being pumped into Egypt ranging between 40-50 million dollars during the next five years.
Al-Sadiq explained that communication with the Egyptian Ministry of Irrigation is currently underway to work on rehabilitating these lines, in light of the company’s desire to utilize the entire area of the current farms, as well as starting to reclaim 6 thousand acres of fallow and rehabilitate them for agriculture
He added that the company plans to establish a sorting and packing station for vegetables and fruits in order to work to increase the added value as well as the company’s revenues from export, as well as to increase the capacity of the current refrigerators, raise their efficiency and develop them to increase storage capacity.
Al-Sadiq pointed out that the company is also seeking during the coming period to provide the project needs of agricultural equipment and packing equipment, as part of the company’s targeting to establish an integrated project

He pointed out that the company’s total investments in Egypt are estimated at 500 million dollars, and the Libyan capital represents about 98%, and it owns farms on an area of 33.5 thousand feddans in Ismailia to grow vegetables and fruits, as well as an animal production plant with a capacity of 3000 head of livestock in addition to a herd of sheep, and 500 cells. Producer of bee honey, and a plant for producing organic fertilizers using agricultural and animal wastes
The company’s total investments in Egypt currently reach about $ 500 million, and the company is seeking to strengthen it during the coming period, explaining that the company has started implementing its farms since the 1980s.
